Karolina Lundqvist Earns Prestigious Academic All-District Volleyball Honor

Sophomore Karolina Lundqvist from Baruch College just snagged a spot on the College Sports Communicators (Sports Information) Academic All-District Team for NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball. That’s a big deal, honestly—she’s been crushing it both in the classroom and on the court during the 2025 season.

Lundqvist, who once starred at Archbishop Molloy High School, played in 25 out of 26 matches for the Bearcats. Her effort and skill really showed up, and now she’s also landed a spot on the 2025 CUNYAC Second Team All-Conference.

Getting named to the Academic All-District Team? That takes real grit. Student-athletes need a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better and have to play in at least 90% of their team’s matches, or start in at least 66% of them.

Lundqvist didn’t just meet those standards—she blew right past them. She keeps raising the bar, both on the court and in her classes.

Academic Excellence

Keeping a GPA at or above 3.50 isn’t easy, especially with the constant grind of volleyball. Lundqvist somehow juggles her studies and her athletic commitments without missing a beat.

Her time management skills? Pretty impressive, if you ask me. She’s clearly dedicated to both school and sport.

Athletic Achievements

On the volleyball court, Lundqvist stands out as a key player for the Bearcats. She played in nearly every match this season—25 out of 26, to be exact.

Her best game came during a conference match against Brooklyn College on November 13, where she racked up a season-high 17 kills. Over the whole season, she totaled 201 kills across 85 sets, proving she’s a consistent offensive threat.

Karolina Lundqvist just earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Honestly, that’s a pretty big deal for Baruch College.

She’s been crushing it both in the classroom and on the court. That kind of drive doesn’t just happen—it takes a lot of work and, yeah, probably some late nights.

The college has clearly given her a solid support system. Still, it’s Karolina’s own dedication that really shines through here.

Congrats, Karolina. You’ve set the bar high for anyone coming after you!
