Washington College Women’s Rowing Triumphs Over Franklin & Marshall

The Washington College Women’s rowing team kicked off their fall season with a strong showing at their home regatta against Franklin & Marshall. The Shorewomen dominated three out of four races and really showed what they’re made of on the water.

They hosted the regatta in Chestertown, MD, facing Franklin & Marshall for their first fall meet. The Shorewomen came out on top in three out of four races, which says a lot about their preparation and team spirit.

The 3000m Varsity 4 race opened the regatta with some real excitement. Washington College grabbed first place with a time of 14:03.6, just edging out Franklin & Marshall A, who finished at 14:08.0.

3000m Varsity 8 Race

In the 3000m Varsity 8, the Shorewomen kept their momentum going. They finished first with a time of 14:06.5, while Franklin & Marshall came in at 16:30.

1000m Varsity 4 Race

Franklin & Marshall A took the lead in the 1000m Varsity 4, with Washington College coming in second at 4:44.1. Franklin & Marshall B wrapped up the race with a time of 5:14.

Even though the Shorewomen didn’t take first here, they put up a solid fight and stayed competitive.

1000m Varsity 8 Race

The last race, the 1000m Varsity 8, was another big win for Washington College. The Shorewomen finished well ahead with a time of 4:24.

Franklin & Marshall followed at 5:15. That win was a great way to end the regatta.
