Exciting EKU Women’s Basketball Promotions for 2025-26 Season Announced
Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) Athletics just rolled out a pretty exciting set of promotions for the 2025-26 women’s basketball season. Fans can expect all sorts of themed nights, giveaways, and special events to spice up their game-day experience.
From light-up batons to wine glass giveaways, there’s a little something for everyone. With single-game tickets already on sale, now seems like a great time to plan a trip to Baptist Health Arena and cheer for the Colonels.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming up this season.
Kickoff: Light Up the Coliseum
Table of Contents
Everything starts on November 12, when EKU faces Evansville for Light Up the Coliseum night. The first 250 fans through the doors get a light-up baton, which should really set the mood.
Hometown Heroes Night
On November 16, EKU will honor first responders and healthcare workers during the game against North Dakota. Hometown Heroes Night offers free admission to these community heroes if they show an employee badge.
There’s also a tug-of-war competition at halftime, which should be fun to watch.
Fansgiving Day and SAAC Food Drive
November 22 is Fansgiving Day and the SAAC Food Drive, where the Colonels face off against Midway College. Fans who bring nonperishable food donations get entered into a drawing for a television, thanks to EKU Athletics Marketing.
Holiday Music Bash
As November wraps up, EKU goes up against Army West Point on the 29th. The Holiday Music Bash will feature themed music and a shot for fans to win a Bluetooth speaker.
Holiday Stretch Promotions
The holiday season brings three special promotions:
- Happy Holidays vs. Hampton on December 29, with a women’s basketball scarf giveaway.
- Ring in the New Year with the Colonels vs. West Georgia on January 1.
- Family 4-Pack Ticket Deal vs. Queens on January 3.
Battle of the Bands
On January 15, EKU hosts Battle of the Bands against Lipscomb. Two local high school bands will compete throughout the game, bringing some extra energy to the arena.
More details about this event are coming soon.
Sip and Paint Night
January 22 is Sip and Paint Night against Jacksonville. Fans can check out painting stations, snag a wine glass giveaway, and sample wine at stations on the concourse.
It’s not your average night at the arena, that’s for sure.
Maroon Out
On January 24, EKU wants fans to fill the arena in maroon for a Maroon Out against North Florida. Free T-shirts will be up for grabs while supplies last, so getting there early might be a good idea.
Youth Sports Day and National Girls & Women in Sports Day
February 7 is packed, with EKU hosting Austin Peay. The day features Youth Sports Day, Kids Day Bash, and National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
Activities start at 11 a.m. ET with a youth clinic at the Rec Center. There’s a noon kids bash inside the Baptist Health Arena premium club and postgame autographs, too.
Postgame Student Bingo and Residence Hall Night
The February schedule winds down with Postgame Student Bingo and Residence Hall Night on February 12 against Central Arkansas. Ten bingo prizes are up for grabs, and the most-represented hall gets a pizza party.
Senior Day and Play4Kay Game
February 14 marks Senior Day as the Colonels take on North Alabama. The season wraps up with the annual Play4Kay Game on February 27 against Bellarmine.
Local breast cancer survivors should reach out to EKU Athletics Marketing if they’d like to be part of a special recognition that night.
