Chloe’s high-speed running stats blew everyone away. Most players hit 12-15% high-speed runs in games, but Chloe kept hitting 18-20% even just in practice.

A Record-Breaking Freshman Season

Chloe Humphrey made an immediate impact. As a redshirt freshman, she led the Tar Heels to a national title and a perfect 22-0 record.

She scored a freshman-record 90 goals. That made her the first freshman—male or female—to win the Tewaaraton Trophy, which honors the nation’s top lacrosse players.

Her season set a new bar for what’s possible in the sport. Honestly, it’s hard to overstate how dominant she was.

Family Ties: The Humphrey Trio

Chloe’s freshman year got even better when she played alongside her sisters, Ashley and Nicole. Ashley, a grad transfer from Stanford, led the team with 121 points.

The Humphrey sisters were a force together. Their chemistry on the field made them a nightmare for defenders and gave opponents plenty to worry about.

Overcoming Adversity

Chloe’s path hasn’t been smooth. In February 2024, she picked up a stress injury in her left foot and had to sit out a whole season.

For someone who thrives on movement, it was a tough blow. But Chloe found new perspective from the sidelines, cheering on her teammates and learning in a different way.

That time off only made her hungrier to return. If anything, it fueled her even more.
