Bethune-Cookman came out swinging in the first quarter. They hit 11 of 16 shots and went 3-for-4 from deep, racking up 26 points right away.

Even though Livingstone outrebounded them 14-8, the Wildcats’ sharp shooting and defense held the Blue Bears to just 33.3% from the field. That early lead set the stage for the rest of the night.

Key Performances

Daimoni Dorsey really got things going with 14 points in the first half, knocking down two threes. Her energy seemed to lift the whole team and helped the Wildcats keep their foot on the gas.

Second Quarter: Maintaining the Lead

Both teams cooled off a bit in the second quarter, each shooting around 31%. But Bethune-Cookman found their edge from beyond the arc, draining three threes to Livingstone’s one.

That difference let them win the quarter 19-13 and stretch their lead to 16 by halftime.

Strategic Plays

The Wildcats focused on holding onto their advantage with solid defense and smart plays. Their knack for hitting timely threes kept Livingstone from making a run.

Third Quarter: Holding Steady

The third quarter didn’t see much change in momentum. Bethune-Cookman only hit one of seven threes, but both teams had similar shooting and rebounding numbers.

Livingstone managed to outscore them 18-16, but the Wildcats still led 61-47 heading into the fourth.

Defensive Efforts

The Wildcats’ defense kept Livingstone from cutting too deeply into the lead. That grit on the defensive end made a real difference as the game wore on.

Fourth Quarter: Closing Out Strong

Bethune-Cookman finished strong, shooting 50% from the field in the fourth. They went 3-for-6 from three and stayed aggressive on offense.

Livingstone actually shot well too, but they turned it over eight times. That let the Wildcats pile up 27 points in the final quarter and wrap up the 88-67 win.

Standout Performances

Daomoni Dorsey led the way with 18 points on 7-for-13 shooting, plus two threes and a season-high four steals. Sanai Tyler grabbed a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Jordan Brooks chipped in 14 points, and the Wildcats’ bench had a huge impact, pouring in 52 points.

Looking Ahead

Now the Wildcats get a week to regroup before facing the Richmond Spiders on December 16th. That next game’s a chance to keep building on this win and maybe turn their season around a bit.
