Andrea Gonzalez, Priscilla Landi, Julieta Palma, and Luciana Bejarano each landed a spot on the CSC Academic All-District Team. It’s not just about their performance on the court—these honors also highlight their sharp academic records.
To snag this award, student-athletes need to be at least sophomores and keep a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale.
Eligibility Criteria for CSC Academic All-District Award
The standards for the CSC Academic All-District Award are pretty tough. Only the most disciplined and dedicated student-athletes make the cut.
Undergraduates have to maintain at least a 3.50 GPA. Graduate student-athletes need to hit that same mark, both as undergrads and grads, unless they’re in their first semester of grad school and don’t have a graduate GPA yet.
The Impact of the CSC Academic All-District Award
This award spotlights top student-athletes nationwide for their combined achievements in competition and academics. The CSC Academic All-America® program covers four divisions: NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA.
Advancing to the CSC Academic All-America® Ballot
Academic All-District® honorees, including Augusta’s four Jaguars, will move on to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The big reveal of the first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees happens in early June.
It’s a shot at national recognition for these student-athletes. Who wouldn’t want that?
Support and Recognition from the NCAA and NAIA
The CSC Academic All-America® programs for Divisions II and III get partial funding from the NCAA Division II and III national governance groups. That support helps CSC handle the awards process for those divisions.
The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program also gets some funding through the NAIA governance structure, making sure the awards process keeps running smoothly.
Augusta University’s Commitment to Excellence
Having four student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District honors really highlights Augusta University’s focus on excellence in both sports and academics. The university’s support and resources make it possible for student-athletes to thrive in both areas.
